Domestic violence suspected in couple's death, Marion Co. deputies say

Deputies say 2 died from apparent gunshot wound

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies say they are currently investigating an apparent domestic violence death investigation in the Rainbow Lakes area that resulted in the death of a woman and her estranged husband.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said 32-year-old Latalia Robinson who worked at Westport High School, was found dead along with her estranged husband, 33-year-old Dean Hamilton, who worked at Cheney Brothers.

A friend of the family became concerned after he did not hear from the two overnight, so deputies said he responded to where both Robinson and Hamilton were found dead by an apparent gunshot wound.

The Special Investigations Bureau is now investigating the case as an act of domestic violence.
