Cause of crash under investigation

BELLE ISLE, Fla. – A 92-year-old man died early Monday after crashing into a lake in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal crash was reported at 12:20 a.m. near Fern Creek Avenue and Waterwitch Drive in Belle Isle.

Troopers said the four-door Buick ended up in the lake, but it's not known what caused the crash.

Fire rescue pulled the driver, identified Monday night at Joseph Brodecky, from the vehicle and he died at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
