APOPKA, Fla. – A man was taken to the hospital Monday after being struck by a vehicle, police say.
The man was crossing the road at US-441 and Alabama Avenue around 7 p.m. Monday when he was hit by what witnesses said was a small sedan.

Police said the man was taken by ambulance to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The man was injured, but Sgt. Ed Chittenden, of Apopka police, said it did not appear the injuries were life-threatening.
Police are now looking for the driver who struck the man.
The intersection was closed Monday night.
