Driver sought in Orange County fatal hit-and-run

56-year-old man killed in crash, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol identified on Monday the man killed in a hit-and-run in Orange County last week.

Troopers said 56-year-old Robert Stoult was walking or standing with a bicycle along the edge of the roadway on Taft Vineland Road and Sidney Hayes Road Friday just after midnight when he was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The driver fled the scene, troopers said.

Troopers released surveillance video believed to be the suspect vehicle. Troopers believe it is a tanker truck that struck the pedestrian.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, Florida Highway Patrol said.
