DeBARY, Fla. - A DeBary woman was arrested on driving under the influence and child neglect charges after deputies say she was speeding through a school zone with an 8-year-old in her vehicle.

Shielah Jones, 48, was arrested on Monday afternoon after Volusia County sheriff's deputies say she was pulled over for speeding in a school zone of Highbanks Road just after 2 p.m.

After unsuccessfully completing field sobriety exercises, Jones was arrested on DUI charges, but she refused to put her hands behind her back and said she "was not going to jail," struggling with the deputy, according to the report.

She was then also charged with resisting arrest and was taken to Volusia County jail.
