Police investigate after duo rob victim in Port Orange

Incident happened in area of Dunlawton Avenue between I-95, Yorktowne Boulevard

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Police are investigating after an individual was robbed of his medications and cellphone by two females near a Wawa in Port Orange.

Officers went to the intersection of Dunlawton Avenue and Yorktowne Boulevard after 5 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery.

The victim told police the duo, who are known to him, robbed him using force. Police said the incident happened in the area of Dunlawton Avenue between I-95 and Yorktowne Boulevard.

The victim suffered a laceration to the back of his head after being struck by one of the female robbers. Police said he was treated at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jim Kenny at 386-506-5883. Police said tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477) or text "TIP231" plus the message to CRIMES (274637). Police said tipsters could be eligible for a reward up to $5,000.
