2 sought after man shot in front of wife outside Subway in Orlando

Victim taken to hospital in stable condition, cops say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two people are being sought after a man was shot during an attempted robbery Thursday evening, Orlando police said.

Patrol units in the area of Kaley Street and Orange Avenue  several shots around 7:30 p.m. coming from the Subway restaurant at 1742 South Orange Ave.

Police said they encountered a husband and wife in the parking lot and determined an attempted robbery had occurred. One of the culprits shot the man, police said. The victim, who was shot two times, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The man's wife was not injured.

 

Police said the two culprits have not been located.

One was described by police as a thin white man in his 20s. The suspected shooter was described by police as a black man in his 20s with long hair who wore a white shirt with tan or camouflage shorts.

Orange Avenue was closed to vehicle traffic during parts of the search for the duo, police said.
