The estimates, released Monday afternoon, come in the wake of steady economic trends in the state.

According to the Department of Economic Development, Florida is "currently experiencing increases in job growth, housing starts, median home prices, tax revenues, and consumer confidence."

As Local 6 first reported last week, Florida was recognized for the second highest job creation total in the nation for the month of August.
