'Enchantment of the Seas' arrives in Port Canaveral
Cruise ship will replace 'Monarch of the Seas'
A new Royal Caribbean cruise ship arrived in Port Canaveral on Thursday to replace another ship that is heading to a new home.
Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas arrived in its new port just after 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Enchantment will replace the cruise company's Monarch of the Seas, which was transferred to its sister cruise line Pullmantur in Spain. Enchantment of the Seas will take over Monarch's schedule out of Port Canaveral, with three- and four-day trips to the Bahamas.
Thursday morning marked the first time in four years that Royal Caribbean brought a new ship to Central Florida.
Enchantment of the Seas was previously docked in Baltimore and underwent a "mini-revitalization" in December 2012.
