A Brevard County judge is facing ethics charges after getting into a confrontation with a lawyer.
Judge John Murphy challenged a public defender in his courtroom back in June. The attorney, Andrew Weinstock, said the judge then hit him out of court.
Murphy took a 4-week leave of absence after the scuffle and has since returned to work. He also agreed to take anger management courses.
Weinstock resigned last month, saying he disagreed with Public Defender Blaise Trettis' support of Murphy's return.
