ORLANDO, Fla. – The fans voted and this week's ClickOrlando.com High School Game of the Week is the Edgewater Eagles hosting the Trojans from Evans.
After a scoreless first quarter, Edgewater strikes first when Joe Clark scores from a yard out. Following the extra point, the Eagles have the early edge 7-0.
Still in the second quarter, Edgewater has the ball on their own 20 yard line, but a bad snap forces an Eagle fumble and Evans pounces on it. The Trojans take advantage and the very next play Jalen Juluis takes it to pay dirt 19 yards out and we're all tied up at 7 at the half.
The Eagles came out sluggish the second half. The first play from scrimmage, Compton Rosetta is taken down in his own end zone by Trojans defensive end Traevon Sharp. The safety puts Evans up 9-7.
It was all Trojans after that. Sophomore quarterback Ervin Barrett throws one up from 23 yards out and Linorris Mincey makes the grab. Evans would go on to win 16 to 7.
