Ex-Cowboys coach rescues pup from hot car
Former Dallas Cowboys coach finds rescued dog new home
Former Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer has gotten a lot more fans-- after he rescued a puppy from a hot car and handpicked a new home for her.
According to the Huffington Post, that home will be with an Oklahoma couple who lost their home in the Moore tornado last year.
Switzer said he noticed the puppy locked in the car in a store parking lot last week. He said he waited for the owners to come out, bought her on the spot, and took the Rottweiler puppy straight to the vet to give her a once over.
The pup he renamed "Stella" was alright. Switzer said he knew he couldn't keep her, and decided he wanted to make sure he found her a family that would love her and cares about dogs like he does.
KFOR reported Stella was able to join her new family over the weekend, just in time for the couple's wedding anniversary.
