A family escaped an early morning house fire in Altamonte Springs.
The fire broke out around 4:15 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Encino Way.
A woman said she saw sparks flying out of a window, and she, her mother and younger brother managed to get out of the house unharmed.
"I saw the corner of that house ablaze. I was yelling and screaming, banging on doors," said a neighbor who tried to help.
Firefighters said nearly half the house was ablaze when they arrived. They later extinguished the fire.
The fire apparently started in the back of the home, but the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
