State investigators say there was nothing wrong in the medical examiner's report after a DeLand man was run over and killed by a police officer.
Former officer James Harris chased Marlon Brown with his patrol car back in May and hit Brown. Brown's family said the collision is what killed Brown, but the medical examiner's report said the death was accidental, with no evidence that Brown was hit by the patrol car.
Brown's ex-wife, Krystal Brown, filed a complaint with the state medical examiner's commission. The commission said on Tuesday after a thorough investigation, it couldn't find anything wrong with the report.
Harris was fired after Brown's death but wasn't charged with a crime.
