Florida Highway Patrol said on Monday that a child in the backseat of a car that crashed into a bus at Walt Disney World told troopers his mother started to fall asleep moments before impact.
The family of Megan Hester-Villalobos said a blue minivan started to swerve into her lane. While attempting to avoid the vehicle, the family said that is when she hit the bus.

FHP said troopers are confident with the 7-year-old's recollection of the crash, adding the child was very articulate. Investigators said they are not looking into the possibility of a blue minivan given witnesses statements.
News 6 has uncovered that there has been nine crashes in that same area since Jan. 1, 2015. Florida Highway Patrol said those crashes are considered minor and there weren't any injuries. FHP also said the stretch of road is not a problem area.
Hester-Villalobos' family said that she is very sorry for the accident and is concerned for the others injured in the crash.
FHP said Hester-Villalobos will be ticketed for driving in the wrong lane, adding the citation is not criminal.
