VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at 2:55 p.m. at Emporia Road and County Road 3.

Troopers said a Chevy pickup truck was stopped facing west on Emporia Road, a Chevy vehicle was traveling south on County Road 3 and a Hyundai vehicle was stopped facing east on Emporia Road.
The truck attempted to enter the intersection and traveled into the direct path of the Chevy vehicle, troopers said. The front of the Chevy vehicle struck the right side of the truck.
The Chevy vehicle then spun into the Hyundai, troopers said.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. The driver of the Chevy vehicle suffered minor injuries and the driver of the Hyundai vehicle was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
