OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 58-year-old man trying to cross a street Tuesday night in Osceola County was struck and killed by a car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The FHP said Walter Quijano, of Kissimmee, died in the crash, which was reported at 8:35 p.m. on Buena Ventura Boulevard near County Road 522, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.
The FHP said a Ford Fusion driven by a 39-year-old Orlando man stuck Quijano, who stepped into the direct path of the car.
The driver was not injured.
An investigation is ongoing.
