Fire burns huge hole into roof of Deltona home

No one injured; Officials search for homeowner

DELTONA, Fla. – A Deltona home was left with a gaping hole in its roof after a fire broke out.

No one was injured in the blaze, which started around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at 1302 Anderson Street.

Fire crews said flames were shooting through the roof of the home and 40 percent of the house was damaged.

The blaze was extinguished after 30 minutes, fire officials said.

Although no one was home at the time of the fire, it appears someone lives in the house, said firefighters, who added that officials were trying to locate the homeowner.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
