ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A person escaped an Altamonte Springs apartment Friday morning after a fire broke out, forcing officials to evacuate the building.
The fire broke out around 10 a.m. at the apartments near Douglas Avenue.

According to Seminole County Fire Lt. Tod Zellers, the fire was contained to a kitchen and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
