Ocoee fire burns home

Ocoee firefighters extinguished a blaze in a home late Friday afternoon.

Officials said at 4:40 p.m., Firefighters from the Ocoee Fire Department, Winter Garden Fire Rescue and Orange County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a house fire in the Kensington Manor subdivision of Ocoee.

Firefighters said they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the home. 

Firefighters said they found in the attic of the home. 

The fire, which was contained to about twenty-five percent of the house, was quickly extinguished by firefighters, officials said.

No citizens or firefighters were injured during the incident and the home was turned over to the owners.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
