Flight from Orlando International Airport makes emergency landing

Cracked windshield may have been caused by hailstorm, officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A US Airways flight from Orlando International Airport reported an emergency before landing in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon because of a cracked windshield.

KYW-TV reports the cracked windshield on Flight 768 from OIA to Philadephia International Airport may have been the result of a hail storm.

Medics and fire officials were called out to the airport in Philadephia as an emergency, but there were no injuries.

US Airways is investigating the incident.
