COCOA, Fla. -

A 52-year-old man arrested in Cocoa on child porn charges is also suspected of taking photos of children in his neighborhood and luring teens to his house with marijuana and alcohol.

Barry Gill Vest was arrested Friday on 175 counts of child pornography after Cocoa police said officials were tipped off three weeks ago about him.

On April 15, Cocoa police arrested Vest on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation, contributing to the delinquency of minors and delivering drug paraphernalia to minors.

As police were looking into the allegations of Vest taking pictures of children at the pool, two juveniles from a juvenile center contacted police to report that Vest had lured them into his apartment and offered them marijuana and alcohol.

Vest, using a police scanner app for his cell phone, listened to the police radio, and when juveniles left the center, he went into the area, told the juveniles that the police were looking for them and took them back to his apartment, according to police.

Police said once the teens were back at his apartment, Vest performed lewd acts on one of them.

After his April arrest, Vest bonded out of jail and returned to his apartment. In the meantime, police got a search warrant for electronics in his apartment and that's when they discovered the child pornography, according to authorities.

He was arrested Friday morning and booked into the Brevard County jail on $175,000 bond.

Police believe that Vest has more victims in the area and is asking anyone with any information to contact Detective Debra Titkanich at 321-637-6391.
