Bryan Blalock, of Ocala, was arrested Wednesday on aggravated child abuse charges.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the Ocala Regional Medical Center on Jan. 3 after a toddler was being treated for severe head trauma.

Detectives interviewed Blalock on Wednesday, and he admitted to violently shaking the child several times out of anger until the toddler passed out, the Sheriff's Office said.
The child is now in critical condition at Shands Hospital.
