Florida substitute teacher banned for showing 'Naked and Afraid'

Reality show shown to second-grade class, authorities say

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Collier County's Golden Gate Elementary School banned a substitute teacher for showing a reality show whose participants are naked, according to CBS.

The substitute teacher showed students in a second-grade computer lab class clips from the reality television show "Naked and Afraid." The Discovery Channel show brings together two strangers and forces them to survive together in the wild without clothes. Sensitive body areas are blurred.

School officials contacted parents of second graders to explain the situation. 

The substitute teacher has been banned from teaching in Collier County and an investigation has been launched.
