Suspicious package forces evacuation of Viera courthouse

Brevard County Fire-Rescue responded to a suspicious package at the courthouse in Viera that caused the evacuation of the courthouse.

A clerk opened the letter and was exposed to suspicious substance, according to Brevard County Sheriff's Office. The substance tested negative for harmful materials.

The courthouse has since been reopened.
