Buccaneers fire head coach Raheem Morris

Team to hold news conference at 3 p.m.

TAMPA BAY, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Monday that the team has fired head coach Raheem Morris.

Local 6 Sports Director David Pingalore first reported Saturday that Morris would get fired.

The Buccaneers lost Sunday 45-24 to the Atlantic Falcons finishing the year with 10 straight losses.

"I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the passion Coach Morris gave to our football team, but this change is one we felt was necessary," Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik said.

The team has a 3:00 p.m. news conference scheduled at One Buccaneer Place.
