Deadline for primary voter registration is Monday

Florida's primary elections are Tuesday, August 14

MIAMI, Fla. - The deadline for Florida residents to vote in upcoming state primary elections or change their party affiliation is Monday, July 16.

Florida primary elections will take place on Tuesday, August 14.

Only residents registered with a political party can vote in their party's primary.

New voter applications or change of party registrations must be postmarked by July 16 in order to qualify.

Some locations will be staying open late on Monday to register voters.

In Hillsborough county, all four election offices will be open until 7 p.m.
