WHAM-TV reports that Selah Clanton of Zephyrhills, Fla., will be released Tuesday from Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Clanton has been hospitalized since Aug. 15, when she and her brother Sam, also 8, plunged into the canal when their father lost control of their double stroller.

Two Rochester police officers and three first-year medical students at a nearby picnic are credited with saving the children.

Selah's mother says her daughter will be transferred to a hospital closer to their home in Florida.

The family was in Rochester for their son's medical treatment at the time of the accident.
