LAKE COUNTY, Fla. - Lake County Sheriff Deputies announced they arrested 111 people on drug related charges during Operation: Keep Our Streets Safe.
A press release said the operation that concluded this week had lasted six months and was aimed at arresting street-level drug dealers in Lake County.
Deputies say through the 19 arrest warrants issued, deputies collected 10 guns and approximately a million dollars worth of drugs.
"These types of joint investigations are not only intended to rid our communities of the criminal elements that threaten the quality of life that all law-abiding citizens expect and deserve, but also to send the clear message that drug dealing simply will not be allowed to rule our streets and neighborhoods," said Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders during Friday's press conference.
