13-year-old boy charged with disruption of school function

MOUNT DORA, Fla. – A Mount Dora Middle School student has been arrested on Tuesday after deputies say the student wrote on his desk that he would "shoot 15 girls tomorrow."

According to Lake County Sheriff's deputies, the 13-year-old was charged with disruption of a school function, a misdemeanor charge, after the message was reported by a parent Tuesday morning.

The name of the student hasn't been released by deputies because of his age.

Deputies said the threat occurred on Monday and the principal obtained a seating chart to see who was sitting at the desk during the time it was written.

The student was originally the one who reported the threat on the desk and denied writing it, but later told authorities he was the the one who made the threat.
