Teen with rare disease needs home renovations

14-year-old with Brittle Bone Disease keeps positive outlook

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Fourteen-year-old Drew Brown was born with Brittle Bone Disease. He spends most of his time in a stroller or in bed, and now his family needs help renovating his house to make it more comfortable.

Brown keeps a positive outlook on life and says it's his mission to encourage others. He's the greeter at his church and he always likes to give others advice.

Drew's grandmother left his mom the family's house next door to their trailer, but the family can't afford to renovate it along with all Drew's medical bills.

They'd like to give him more space. His current room is almost taken up entirely by his bed. He also needs a handicapped-accessible bathroom.
