SORRENTO, Fla. – Lake County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man was found dead in a street in a Sorrento neighborhood.
According to deputies, a woman heard gunshots outside her home off Azalea Avenue just before 1 a.m. Friday.

The woman called 911 after she looked outside her window and saw a man lying in the middle of the street, deputies said.
Once deputies arrived at the scene, they found the man, who was dead.
The woman who called 911 told Local 6 News that her husband worked with the victim, and they heard an argument outside their home before the shots were fired. She also said that the victim had been involved in an ongoing fight with gang members.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office has ruled the man's death a homicide, but no other details have been released.
