WASHINGTON, D.C. – It could be one of the most important issues in this year's election -- and on Friday, the Labor Department will release the monthly jobs report for October.
There were concerns that the report would be delayed because of Hurricane Sandy, but the government says that's not the case.

The report will be the last unemployment report to be released before voters head to the polls next week for the election.
Our unemployment rate is now 7.8 percent, which was unexpectedly lower, according to analysts, when it was released at the beginning of October.
