Deputies release video in fatal shooting near UCF

24-year-old Brandon Benjamin shot, killed

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies have released a video on Monday in the fatal shooting near the University of Central Florida.

Deputies said 24-year-old Brandon Benjamin, a Full Sail student, was shot and killed at around 2 a.m. Saturday at The Gatherings Apartments.

Deputies said as people were leaving a party, an argument broke out and shots were fired.  Deputies found Benjamin on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Benjamin was transported to Florida East Hospital where he later died, deputies said.

Detectives are looking for the driver of the vehicle that was seen near 3852 Gathering Drive, deputies said.

Deputies are looking for an older-model light colored full-sized pickup truck, possible a Dodge Ram.  The vehicle has a hood ornament and is described as "rough looking" with rust on the body of the vehicle. It was driven by a Hispanic male, deputies said.

Deputies said they believe the passenger in the truck shot and killed Benjamin shortly after this video was taken. Deputies are also searching for the driver of a red Honda Civic to get more information about the shooting.
