Two men arrested for sex trafficking 15-year-old girl, Polk deputies say

92 arrests for solicitation of prostition have been made, police say

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Two Orlando men were arrested by police Wednesday on charges of human trafficking and several other related charges.

Michael Kempfer, 48 and Montavius Postell, 22 are accused of sex trafficking a 15-year-old girl. According to deputies, they threatened her with violence and provided her with drugs in order to coerce her into prostitution.

Kempfer, who officials say was found driving the victim to the place of an undercover bust, claims he was not involved in the crimes. Postell is her pimp, according to deputies.

Postell, who was arrested in March for selling cocaine, made numerous calls during his period of incarceration to the victim asking her to raise bond money by prostituting herself.

"Florida is a zero-tolerance state for human trafficking, and I commend the Sheriff's Offices of Polk and Orange counties, the Tampa Police Department and my Office of Statewide Prosecution for their work to arrest two men engaged in the sex trafficking of a minor in our state. We must stop these atrocities from occurring in Florida and throughout our country," said Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Because the victim was too young to drive, she was allegedly driven around and prostituted out by the men.

The sex trafficking investigation was launched by the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Tampa Police Department in May of 2013. Since then, 92 arrests have been made for solicitation of prostitution.
