Sanford pastors to launch racial reconciliation forum after Zimmerman trial

National initiative will discuss solutions to improve race relations

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford pastors are launching a national initiative on Thursday to improve race relations after the George Zimmerman trial.

The National Reconciliation and Relationship Initiative will be launched at a news conference Thursday morning at the First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford.

Sanford's pastors will use Thursday's news conference to discuss solutions to improve race relations, hoping to spark more forums in different cities.

Sanford's spiritual leaders urged keeping the peace during the Trayvon Martin shooting death investigation and after Zimmerman's acquittal of second-degree murder.
