DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Halifax Humane society was giving away any pet that was mostly black in color for Black Friday, and reduced fees on all other pets.
As as result, the organization had its most successful adoption day in its 76 year history.

A total of 107 animals found permanent homes on Friday, which opens up space in the shelter for more animals in need.
"The amazing success of this promotion makes a huge difference for hundreds of our animals," said HHS Community Outreach Director Tyler Stover.
