DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Daytona Beach commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday night to spend millions on a massive new entertainment complex planned near the Daytona International Speedway.

The $250 million "One Daytona" project will include shopping, restaurants, a hotel, and a theater. Plans are to build the new complex on 181 acres of land across from the track.

Daytona Beach city leaders pledged $20 million. That money will go toward road and traffic improvements near the planned development.

It's expected "One Daytona" will bring thousands of construction jobs to the area. Work on the project could begin later this year.
