DELTONA, Fla. – Two women told authorities they robbed a pizza delivery man because they were hungry, Volusia County deputies said.
Alvina Leiba, 19, and Tiffany Jacobs, 19, turned themselves in on Friday, three days after the May 22 robbery. The women did not steal any cash, but stole two large pizzas, some chicken wings and an apple pie -- a meal that costs about $40 -- and hid out in the woods to eat the food.

Pizza Hut delivery man Brian Healy, 19, told deputies he went to the home on South Elston Drive in Deltona just after midnight and was greeted by Leiba, who asked him to place the food on a table inside. He stood in the doorway while she searched for money, and that's when Jacobs smacked him in the head with a baseball bat, according to deputies.
Healy said he was able to wrestle the bat out of Jacobs' hands and called 911. He said he had a similar suspicious incident at the same residence at another time but didn't report it to authorities.
Jacobs told authorities she didn't mean to hurt Healy and she only wanted to scare him. She said she swung at a pole but missed and hit Healy, according to deputies.
Both women were taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail. Jacobs was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Leiba was charged with robbery with a weapon.
While in the cells Leiba and Jacobs laughed about the situation, according to deputies. Leiba made the comment that she would not pay any fines and would flee to Trinidad and said she was "so hungry she would rob a McDonald's with Jacobs when they got out of jail," according to a sheriff's report.
