Family pleads for help to find missing Volusia County woman

Laurel Rogers vanished more than 4 years ago

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Volusia County family held a special ceremony Wednesday night to remember a loved one who vanished more than four years ago.

Laurel Rogers hasn't been seen since February 1, 2010 when she left her home on Horizon View Boulevard in Port Orange.

Investigators said there's been no activity on her cellphone or bank account. Rogers also has lupus and family members said she left her house without needed medication.

Wednesday was Rogers' 33rd birthday. To mark the occasion, family members gathered on Daytona Beach to sing happy birthday and to release balloons in her honor. They're also again pleading with anyone with information to come forward.

"Just bring our daughter and our family member home," said Laurel's mother, Lauretta Rogers. "We miss her. We love her. We need her with us now. Please someone tell the truth."

Investigators have offered a $20,000 reward for information in the case.

Anyone with information can contact Port Orange police.
