PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Port Orange Fire officials said they found a man's body after they extinguished a fire early Saturday morning.
Officials said they were called to the Groves Apartments, at 3780 Clyde Morris Boulevard around 1:42 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival the fire was found to be contained in a single upstairs apartment of building 14, officials said.
Officials said the fire started in the kitchen, but was not suspicious.
The man was taken to Halifax Medical Center where he was later declared dead, officials said.
The identification of the man is pending notification of the next of kin.
The State Fire Marshall's Office is conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Port Orange Police Department.
