Man shot to death inside home

Deputies said a man was shot and killed inside a home and it remains a mystery why.

The shooting happened at the Floriland Mobile Home Park at 2500 North Volusia Avenue near Orange City.

Deputies said they have a man in custody and they are questioning him, but he has not been arrested.

According to a news release, deputies got the call around 6:45 that someone had been shot inside the home. By the time they arrived the man was already dead.

They immediately took another man into custody who was there at the scene.

Deputies are not giving any details about the victim or the man being questioned or how they are related.

There is no motive, but deputies are hoping to learn more from the man they have in custody.
