VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Volusia County Sheriff's Deputy Stephanie LeClerc has been placed on administrative leave with pay as a result of her arrest Saturday night on suspicion of DUI, officials said.

Deputies said LeClerc was off duty and operating her assigned patrol car at the time of her arrest.
Luise Salvador called 911 and reported spotting LeClerc's patrol car "driving all over the road," near Airport Road and Pioneer Trail in New Smyrna Beach. The witness also took video of the incident and submitted the evidence to deputies.
Salvador said his friend on the motorcycle captured video of the patrol car swerving on the road and gave it to VCSO. When they received the memory card back from investigators, the video clip had been deleted, the duo told Local 6.
VCSO said they're looking into why that happened and that the witnesses should have received their original video back. A sheriff's spokesman tells Local 6 if the video did get deleted, it was an unintentional mistake.
"Oh yeah, this is going to sound kind of weird. I'm coming down 415 heading to New Smyrna. I have a police officer that nearly hit a friend of mine on his motorcycle in front of me. And as of right now he is driving all over both lanes down 415, going into oncoming traffic," the caller said.
Salvador relayed the patrol car's license plate and unit number, following it into the Venetian Bay subdivision.
According to the report, LeClerc refused a breath test twice and struggled with all three field sobriety tests deputies administered.
She was booked into the Volusia County jail early Sunday and released on bond several hours later, according to jail officials.
Deputies said an additional charge of child neglect will be filed against LeClerc because she had a 7-year-old girl in the car with her.
A spokesman for the Sheriff's Office will not reveal the relationship between the child and LeClerc, but the report states the child was released to LeClerc's sister at the scene.
Deputy LeClerc is 37 years old and was hired by the Sheriff's Office in July 1999. She is assigned to Court Services at the Volusia County Courthouse Annex in Daytona Beach, officials said.
