VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers investigated an early morning accident Saturday where a man was killed while walking along Interstate 4.
Troopers said the accident happened around 6:10 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 114 in Volusia County.

Troopers said both drivers were eastbound on I-4 while the pedestrian, who has not been identified yet, was walking westbound in the outside lane.
Troopers said the front of the Mack truck, driven by 47-year-old Hashad Patel, struck the pedestrian.
The second car, a pickup truck, driven by Andrew Woodman of Deltona, then ran over the pedestrian, troopers said.
Troopers said the pedestrian was killed and several lanes of the interstate were closed down, but were re-opened completely by 9:30 a.m.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
