ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Troopers say a person walking along I-95 was hit and killed Friday night.
Investigators say the victim was walking along the southbound lanes of the highway near U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach when they were hit by a truck carrying cars.

Investigators haven't said yet why the pedestrian was walking along the highway but do say the truck's driver did stop after the accident.
The accident caused over a mile of backups on the highway while crews cleared the scene.
