ORLANDO, Fla. - After a foggy start to the workweek, rain is expected to fall through Wednesday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures to Central Florida.
The high on Monday will reach 83 degrees, but there's a 60 percent chance of rain.
"There will be some thundershowers embedded in the storms with lightning during the afternoon drive time," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.
The low temperature will be in the mid-60s overnight.
"Out ahead of a front, we have a lot of moisture to work with and some energy in the upper levels that will lead to more of these scattered showers," said Bridges, who added that there's also a 60 percent chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The high on Tuesday will be 82 degrees, with Wednesday's high reaching 77.
Highs will be slightly lower for the rest of the week, with mid- to upper 70s expected through the weekend. No rain is expected in the Orlando area from Thursday through Sunday.
