POLK COUNTY, Fla. -

Almost 100 people have been charged in Polk County as part of an undercover sex bust, including a former Orlando police officer, according to Polk County deputies.

The 98 arrests were a part of a four-day prostitution investigation targeting human trafficking, Polk County Sheriff's Office said at a news conference on Tuesday morning.

Deputies said among the arrested was Michael Johnson, 44, who was employed by the Orlando Police Department from 1994 to 1996.

Charges ranged from offering to commit lewdness to aiding and abetting prostitution, possession of illegal drugs, child abuse by neglect and violation of probation.

Of the 98 suspects arrested, 24 were married, 28 were prostitutes and 52 were arrested wanting to pay for the prostitutes, deputies said.

"We're going to do another one of these operations, we've done them before we warned you over and over if you violate the law in Polk County were going to put you in jail - if we don't get you this time we'll get you next time," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
