4-year-old boy serves as official town mayor
Robert 'Bobby' Tufts likes fishing, singing, dancing
Most 4-year-olds are just learning to read and write and preparing for their first pre-K class, but one boy in Minnesota has a much bigger task to handle -- running a town.
Robert "Bobby" Tufts serves as the official mayor of Dorset, a small town with a population of just 26 residents.
Little Bobby was named mayor for the year when his name was chosen from a hat at a town festival. Any resident can enter into the mayoral race by paying the $1 fee.
Previous candidates have included chickens and cats.
Mayor Tufts told Local 6 affiliate WCCO that he loves fishing, singing and dancing. The mayor claims he is a better fisherman than his father.
Unfortunately, this up-and-coming political force is taken; Mayor Tufts says he has a girlfriend named Sophia.
