ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health is holding free flu shot events in Central Florida.
The flu shots will be available at no cost, on a first come first served walk-in basis, while supplies last at the following three event locations:

- Barnett Park, Dolphin Room, 4801 West Colonial Drive. Thursday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- South Econlockhatchee Community Park, Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Coalition for the Homeless, 639 W. Central Boulevard. Monday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Health officials say additional flu prevention steps include washing your hands, keeping your hands away from your face and covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when sneezing and coughing.
Symptoms include headache, fever, severe cough, sore throat, runny nose or body aches.
