Funeral director says coffee can help people grieve

EASLEY, S.C. – Starbucks and funeral homes -- you wouldn't think they go together.

But in South Carolina, one mortician is using the popular brand to help people who are grieving.

The Robinson Funeral Home is now building a small Starbucks franchise on property.

It'll be fully staffed, and people will have to pay for coffee and pastries.

But the funeral director says he wants to use the brand to help soothe the pain of losing a loved one.

"If this provides them a little escape and gives them a break from the stress they're going through, then that's what it's all about, is to make them feel better," says Chris Robinson.

Robinson adds that he'll still serve other brands of coffee at the funeral home, and that coffee will be free.
